An exceptional and rare billiard room suite comprising a High Gothic decorative billiard table, an outstanding wall mounted scoring cabinet and a matching revolving billiard cue carousel all made circa 1860, fabulous carving and attention to detail, this is a billiard table set of distinction and was  commissioned for Stanton Court.

The accompanying billiard scoring cabinet is profusely and tastefully carved featuring a pair of Griffins above a relief border of roses and fauna, incorporating hand painted revolving numbers in black and gold, with Life Pool sliding panels carved with the respective 'White" or following colour.

The bottom section complete with penny slots and drawers for stake retrieval, all mounted on a broad oak shelf.

The matching highly decorative billiard cue stand retains it original cue clips and sits on a revolving carved base.
Solid English oak, all supporting a slate bed made  by George Wright of London .

The table now tastefully restored by hand, the playing conditions have been enhanced by new NR rubber and best English wool cloth .

George Wright founded his billiard table business in 1868, and records indicate the company was operating from 162/164 Westminster Bridge Road London.
He achieved much success and won Gold medals at exhibitions in Australia and New Zealand in the early 1880's.
