Antique snooker table or billiard table Art Nouveau

Antique snooker table or billiard table Art Nouveau

Sold

A beautiful solid oak Art Nouveau snooker or billiard table by Orme and Son circa 1901.

Standing on eight octagonal legs with superb geometric designs this table has great presence.

The timber quality throughout is the finest quarter sawn oak, with exceptional medullary rays.

The long sides and short ends also feature a sweeping carved egg and dart edge.

The table also retains a pair of original brass scoring devices which would have been used in conjunction with a wall mounted marker.

We have cleaned and wax the whole frame and replaced the cushion rubbers and cloth.

Orme & Sons were one of the finest British billiard snooker table manufacturers, they had branches in Liverpool, Manchester, London & Glasgow.

Orme & Sons began trading in 1845 and received a Royal Warrant from Edward, Prince of Wales.
