A full size mahogany billiard table,or snooker table manufactured by Gillows circa 1820, standing on eight graceful turned reeded legs with a fine molding that runs around the base of the frame and then flows effortlessly into the the top of the leg.Even the bolts that hold the table together are handmade and are concealed by brass cast mounts which are fitted to the tops of the legs.
The table is fitted with its original Gillow's tablet and unique reference number of 1021 and has been dated to 1820 by aid of the Westminster City Council who have access to Gillows original sketch books
The cushion edges feature a beautiful delicate curve with applied bosses and we have re-rubbered these with NR professional rubbers and fitted a new "Strachan" traditional English green cloth to the bed and cushions.
