A wonderful mahogany Billiards ,Snooker & Life pool combination scoring cabinet by George Wright of London, made circa 1875 with a very nice cut of mahogany a pediment top adorns this scoring cabinet .
A central slate section is flanked by lettered Life Pool sliding panels which reveal mother of pearl inlay and box wood ebony stars.
The makers original mark of "George Wright & Co London" is in perfect condition.
Two revolving number bars with nicely aged brass runners and pointers sit above symmetrical ball storage cupboards and a central drawer which is used for the retrieval of "stake money".
George Wright founded his billiard table business in 1868 and records indicate the company was operating from 162/164 Westminster Bridge Road London, he achieved much success and won gold medals at exhibitions in Australia and New Zealand in the early 1880s.
